We've been focusing on finding the crops that consistently do better in our region; on those crops which are going to produce larger yields and respond better to our attempts to increase nutrient density.
One of the crops which we are having more success with is the turnip.
This underappreciated vegetable is a good choice for a fall crop because it can be stored, is a flexible ingredient (we like turnip soup), and even the greens - better tasting when the turnip is younger - are healthy for you.
